Dr. Udayan Das is a Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce at the School of Business & Economics of the Adamas University. He is a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Utkal University having his Doctoral research on Behavioural Finance. He is a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. He also holds Master of Commerce (1st Class 6th) from University of Calcutta and Master of Business Administration (1st Class 9th) from University of Calcutta (IISWBM). He has also been awarded with Diploma in Business Finance from ICFAI and Diploma in Computer Programming from ICEI. He has also cleared UGC-Net in Management.
In terms of professional affiliation, he is a Fellow member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, a Fellow member of the Insurance Institute of India and a Life member of the Indian Accounting Association.
His areas of interest are Behavioural Finance, Investment Decisions, Security Analysis, Portfolio Management, Strategic Cost Management and General Insurance.
He carries a rich experience of teaching Post-Graduate and Under-Graduate students of Management and Commerce for nearly fourteen years. Before joining the Adamas University, he was working as a Professor at NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata. Prior to that, he had a long association as Professor and Chairman, PG Council with Asian School of Business Management, Bhubaneswar (Now ASBM University).
He also has two decades of rich experience in the areas of Finance, Accounting, Insurance, HR and IT Management in National Insurance Company Ltd.
