School of Management, Adamas University (ASOM) conducted a sensitization session on 30th May, 2019 with the students of BBA and MBA, who are joining internship starting June, 2019. As sensitization is the effort to change attitudes, behaviours and responses towards a particular issue of concern, the motive of this session was to create awareness among the young students of ASOM about their future roles and responsibilities in the workplace.
The session was attended by around 60 students, and all the faculties of ASOM.
Since the purpose of the students’ internship program is to provide students with an opportunity to gain workplace skills and learn more about the practical implementation of the subject matter, the session was conducted to provide a broad outline of the expectations from the trainees while they are in the internship, as well as a set of Do’s and Don’ts were shared to make them aware about their performance in the workplace.
The session was addressed by Prof Soumen Sanyal – Dean, ASOM. The session was also facilitated by Prof. Prithvish Bose – HoD, ASOM, Prof. Ranjit Chowdhury, Placement Head, ASOM and Prof. Chinmayakumar Dash, Faculty, ASOM.
The students attending the session found it useful, and gave positive feedback. The school will be conducing similar sessions to enable the students in future too.
