School of Management, Adamas University organized workshop on Multivariate Quantitative Techniques of Data Analytics for BBA and MBA students by the initiative of Dr. Gauranga Patra, Associate Professor of the School from 12th till 24 th November, 2018. Two experts in this field Mr. Souvik Datta, Chief Manager, Spencer’s Retail Limited ( Kolkata) and Dr. Susmita Chatterjee, Assistant Professor, Maharaja Manindra Chandra College ( Kolkata) conducted the workshop.
The objective of the workshop was to provide students real field exposures through different case studies and their applications in retail industries, health care industries, Pharma Industries and others by using different tools like SPSS, STATA. Major areas, which were covered during the workshop were business forecasting, panel data analysis, regression models, factor analysis, logistic regression, cluster analysis and others. The workshop enlarged analytical skills of students which will help them to make better strategic decisions in corporate world.
